HA - Reminds me of the old joke: I was gonna procrastinate today, but I never got around to it... Glad to see you have reliable internet now. I know what it's like to be without the necessities (e-mail and daiily Red Sox news).

So Donna, you've heard the philosophy that things happen for a reason. And you did say that you had intended to go for a run AND that your internet connection repeatedly failed... because...

Hello! You were suppose to be out on your run!

Believe me, you have the weather for running. When you get home we'll be hip deep in snow - somewhere in South Dakota today they received a record 40 inches of snow.

Study hard, we miss you a lot.

Please don't give the powers that be any ideas. They'd probably add the down to the hats just because they aren't dorky enough as it is.

Hey, SSgt Doyon... If you have to wear blues on Blues Monday, do you have to wear down on Down Friday? I would think it would be rather uncomfortable in that region of the country... sweaty...

Hi, Donna -
Glad to see you're letting us get back at you, er, I mean, respond to your posts. Sounds like you're keeping busy, but that wake-up sounds brutal. Last time I was in school, we used to stay up all night to make the early classes... :)

Looking forward to reading more.

>> "and suddenly ready to take that nap"

When I read your original post, I thought about all of the cleaning and organizing that *I* should be doing, and had the same symptom of sudden exhaustion!

Actually had a productive weekend, put in quite a few hours on an ongoing project and made visible progress.

Thanks for the inspiration to get more done tonight!

I totally understand where you are coming from. The other day when I was getting out of my truck at Walmart, this lady pulls up beside me, passes to the spot behind me, gets out and starts yelling at me to be more careful. I don't even know where she came from. I had been parked for a few minutes and don't remember seeing her anywhere near where I had been. My first response was to get all defensive, but then I remembered why I was at Walmart in the first place, to shop for Christmas. So, I just said to myself, "Merry Christams to you too lady, I hope you have a good day." I know this is not the same thing, but sometimes people just make you wonder. Like when they stand in the middle of the isle taking the whole thing up and see that your waiting to go by but they just don't move. Or when your walking down a corridor on you own side, and people are walking toward you and they don't move making you squish to the side like Gumby because they must feel they are just so much more important than you are. All I can say is, I'd rather be the more considerate person than the one who is totally full of themselves.

I just attended my 35th. Interesting evening. Highs & lows... Got there early, chose an empty table and wondered who would come sit with me. Since I've been out of state for twenty+ years, I was hoping folks would want to join me to catch up. Found that most people ended up sitting with the folks they see every day. People who sat at my table were folks I hardly knew, but ended up enjoying their company very much - too bad I didn't know them better in High School. All in all I'm glad I went.
