Little Goals Count

WOOT! I completed another 2006 goal today. Yeah!

Curious as to what it was? It was riding the city bus.

Really. It was a written goal… and… really I did it today.

I gave a presentation at the Unemployed Professionals Group in Portland. My daughter dropped me off on her way to school and I told her I’d take the bus home if a friend couldn’t give me a ride. Well, the friend couldn’t so I hopped on the bus. Bus #2. 8-)

I’m fortunate to live just a short distance from the bus line. But after 13 years here, I still hadn’t used it. Today I learned it works. ha ha

One thing I love about goals is that they don’t have to be big to be meaningful. Sometimes a goal can just be about stepping out of your comfort zone. Today’s bus ride was certainly that for me.

Ironically the presentation I gave was on transforming a SO-SO (same old same old) day into an amazing one. With a pricetag of only $1.25, today I transformed a SO-SO day into an amazing one.

I know… it doesn’t take much to impress me or thrill me. 8-)

But I had the pleasure of crossing off another goal. That’s such a rush for goal-setting fanatic like me. Woot!

What have you done lately to achieve one of your goals? Would you like to share with me?
