The Eagle Web Cam

Check this out!

In Hancock County, Maine a web cam was installed above a bald eagle’s nest. The photos are amazing. Any day now a baby eagle or two should hatch.

Read the blog that accompanies the Eagle Web Cam updates to learn more about eagle behavior.

Why am I writing about this? Besides the very cool factor, this shows what people can accomplish when they work together.

In this group we have the scientists, the techno-geeks (no offense, I consider myself a techno-geek of sorts), the financiers and the media that is helping to promote this amazing experience.

Just imagine what we’d be missing if the scientist said, “These photos and video clips are for scientific use only.”

Or if the techno-geeks said, “Birds! Who cares about birds? I’ll create a virtual bird if I want to see one.”

Or if the financiers said, “The return on our investment for this project is not high enough to justify supporting it.”

Or if the media said, “We don’t want to waste precious air time/print space on birds.”

But someone had a vision of sharing this experience with the world and found the resources to do it.

What do you want to accomplish? Who could help you? What unlikely partners might you find to turn your dream into a reality?
