Friday is a Good Day
TGIF! Thank God It’s Friday!
You may be thinking, “Yeah! It’s the weekend!” I don’t have to go to work tomorrow.
Yes, that’s a good thing. But let me ask you… are you taking advantage of your time off to work on your goals? What is it you want to accomplish this year?
Do you want to build better relationships with family members or friends? The weekend is a great time to spend time together. If you have a list of household chores to tackle, split your time between your home and a friends. Work and talk together.
Do you want to get yourself prepared for a job promotion? Spend a little time at the local bookstore or library updating your knowledge or skills. Do an internet search for courses you could take or people you might connect with to help you reach your goal.
Do you want to explore a new hobby? The weekend is a perfect time to do this.
Friday is a good day to wrap up the busy week and get ready for the weekend. But if you don’t start thinking about the weekend before it arrives, it may be gone before you can take advantage of all that it can offer.
Yes, some weekends are best left unplanned. We all need time to just do whatever strikes our fancy or nothing at all. But if that’s how you spend every weekend, you may come to the end of 2006 and realize you have nothing to show or remember for yourself.
What are your plans for Saturday?
P.S. Happy Birthday Wookie!
