What Keeps You Awake at Night?

It’s 4:04 a.m. UGH! I should be sleeping. My husband is sleeping. My children are sleeping. You’re probably sleeping. Are me and my cat the only ones awake?

This is the second night in a row that I’ve woken up at around 3:30 a.m. and found myself unable to go back to sleep. Why is that?

Could it be that my high demand week is finally getting to me? Could it be that some tasks have been left by the wayside in recent weeks and are finally starting to nag on me? Could it be that I’m so excited about new opportunities that I want to get moving on them?

The answer for me is “All of the above.” 8-)

So this morning I decided not to fight it. I crawled out of bed, careful not to wake my husband. Turned on my precious computer and will spend a couple of hours cleaning up some of unfinished tasks, jotting down ideas for future programs and projects, and enjoy this quiet time while my family sleeps.

Unfortunately, my eyeglasses are still sitting on my night stand, so I’ll have to cut myself some slack for any typos I make. 8-)

What’s keeping you awake at night? What do you do when it happens?
